Sender:  Samsad Jahan Senders Location:  Rajshahi, Bangladesh Receiver:  Suad Khan Receiver Location:  Glasgow, UK Translation:  Dear Saud,  I hope you are well. Nice to know you. I am writing to you on a lovely rainy evening. Your subject is my favourite although I don't have much idea about it. I got an opportunity to study graphic design at the Faculty of Arts, Dhaka University. But I did not study there. Now I am studying in the Department of Islamic History and Culture at Rajshahi University.  I have always been very interested in architecture, art and diverse cultures. By studying this subject, I am constantly learning about Muslim architecture, painting and Muslim culture. In the case of painting, there is an experience of learning about various images in earlier Muslim or Islamic paintings.  Again the old building mosques and their architecture are also very attractive.    And oh! you may not have been told in the first letter that I am also 23 years old. I have grown up

Finally, I sat down to write to you today.  Hope you are doing well.  I'm fine too. I have read your letter.  You wanted to know about covid-19 and the negative aspects of the pandemic days.  It was horrible. In fact, I shudder when I remember the days of the Covid-19 pandemic.  We have had an incredible time. Though many negative things have come to the fore during the days of the Corona pandemic, this pandemic has given us some positive messages.  It reminded us how much we have oppressed our mother nature  Not only that, this pandemic has made us realize how far we are moving away from our loved ones day by day as we keep up growing our bonding with mechanization. This epidemic has also sent a message to the extent to which our future generations are going to be at risk due to

Second letters form Mariom from Bangladesh to Sahil in UK

Sender:  Mariom Bentee Rahman Senders Location:  Rajshahi, Bangladesh Receiver:  Sahil Amin Receiver Location:  Glasgow, UK Translation: Hello Sahil,  I hope you are well. I received your letter a few days ago.  It's nice to finally know who I'm writing to.  I was impressed with the way you described the traditions of Scotland - especially the food, clothing and mythological characters in your letter.  While reading your letter, it kept coming to my mind that,   "Hey! Wait! This is also in our Bengali tradition!"   Well, well, it would be wrong to say that because things are not the same. There are just some similarities.  Like you said about food, Haggis.  When we hear the name of the food, the name of Scotland comes to our mind, similarly, when we hear Hilsa fish and Panta rice, the word Bengali comes to our mind.  Since my country,  Bangladesh is a riverine country, fish is an integral part of our lifestyle and Panta rice is basically socked rice or rice with wat

Second letter from Maesha from Bangladesh to Tazra in UK

Sender: Maesha Marium Senders Location: Rajshahi, Bangladesh Receiver: Tazra Khan Receiver Location: Glasgow, UK Dear Tazra It's good to know that you are an admirer of Italian culture as well. I wrote 'as well', because so am I. My interest in the country and its culture started budding when I was learning about the Renaissance period in history class back in school. The Renaissance is the period that shaped modern art as we know it today. Two artists in particular, Leonardo da Vinci and Michaelangelo piqued my interest to learn more about the movement and the Italian culture in general. Reading Dan Brown's books got me even more hooked to the symbolism and cryptography of the Renaissance artists. As a musician, I also got to delve into their music scene and explore new artists. One of my luckiest findings was Andrea Bocelli. He has the voice of an angel that can soothe even the most aching soul. I'm happy to know that you like him too. The song you recommended
