Hello Mariom,

I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to you today to talk about my experience with the cultural heritage of Scotland. As an 18-year-old student who has lived here for much of my life, I have experienced some of the wonderful traditions and customs that make Scotland such a unique and special place. As you have already read, I am studying at Heriot-Watt University, where I study Computer Science.

I moved to Scotland from England as an 11-year-old, and have lived here ever since. Because of this, I have seen many things that only Scotland has, such as a fizzy drink known as Irn Bru, which is the most popular drink in Scotland. Here are some of the things about Scottish Culture and Heritage which affect Scotland to this day: One such attribute of Scottish culture is the rich history and heritage that is present in every corner of the country. From ancient castles and ruins to the stunning landscapes that have inspired countless artists and writers, Scotland is a place that truly captures the imagination. Another example is Haggis, which is a sheep's heart, liver, and lungs, combined with onions, oatmeal, and spices, and cooked inside a sheep's stomach.

As you can see, it’s not particularly appetizing and is one of the things I am not a fan of regarding Scottish Culture One of the most popular parts of Scottish Culture is tartan. Tartan is a distinctive fabric pattern that is synonymous with Scottish culture. The traditional interlocking lines of color create a unique design that has been used for centuries to identify Scottish clans and families. From kilts and trousers to scarves and blankets, tartan is an important part of Scottish fashion, and it continues to be an important symbol of Scottish identity and heritage. Scottish history is a rich tapestry of events and characters that have shaped the country over the centuries. From the fierce battles of the Scottish rebellions against the English to the rise of the industry during the Industrial Revolution, Scottish history is something taught to children to this day. It is a testament to the resilience and determination of the Scottish people, and it continues to influence the culture and traditions of the country to this day. The Loch Ness Monster, also known as Nessie, is a legendary creature that has captured the imagination of people all over the world. Although there is no concrete evidence of its existence, the stories of sightings and encounters with Nessie continue to be a part of Scottish folklore.

The Loch Ness Monster is a symbol of the mystery and magic that permeate Scottish culture, and it is a testament to the power of imagination and the enduring appeal of myths and legends. As you can see Scotland has very strong ties to its cultural heritage and many countries are quite intertwined with it, even if they are unaware. Thank you for taking the time to read this letter, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Best regards,

Sahil Amin
